I calculated the nutritional info for the red velvet cupcakes so i thought I'd save some people's time by posting it, although I did substitute the vegetable oil with low fat butter it's still around the same (like 40 kcal and 2g of fat more). So it's 130 kcal and 4.4g of fat for one cupcake. Enjoy!
Could I Please see the nutritional info???
The lemon one sounds good
Nutritional info is coming soon!
What is the nutritional value of these cupcakes? Unless it's me, I don't see it :(
These are on the spongier side, like most fat-free cupcakes.
do these cupcakes have spongy texture or dense??
Susan,
Fat free cupcakes are a little spongier than their full-fat counterparts, but should definitely not be rubbery.
What kind of yogurt are you using? Different brands have different consistencies. It may also be that you are over-mixing the batter.
not sure what i did wrong but these chocolate cupcakes came out rubbery.flavor was ok ,maybe too much yogurt?
it is like tasteing happyness
mmm sounds nice but im on a diet maybe 1 cake won't hurt :)
awesome
Hi Delores,
I do have a recipe for carrot cake muffins. You'll find the link at the top of the page, just under the first photo.
Love your recipes do u have one for carrot cake muffins.? Thanks much low fat
Does anyone know how much fat is in these cupcakes - i.e the choc and vanilla ones?? I need a recipe for a lady who has had her gallbladder removed and can only have 3g of fat per meal. Anyone help?? xx
Kat, you can make the cupcakes lighter by beating your egg whites separately before folding them into the batter. Glad you enjoyed them, though!
Made the chocolate ones today, quite tasty but a bit stodgy. Only 3 Weight Watchers points though!
how many calories does this have??
These look delicious!
Just made some of the vanilla cupcakes, and they turned out great! I made a double batch and split it in half to make one half with strawberries, blueberries and black berries, with extra vanilla (Very good!!), and the other half I added 1tsp of lemon extract (on top of the vanilla) and then fresh cranberries. I used a vanilla flavoured yogurt instead of plain and you can really tast it! So good and tangy! I also only used 3/4c of sugar (per batch) instead of 1 cup, which was plenty. I would consider using only a 1/2 cup of sugar next time. Maybe using the vanilla yogurt made a difference. I made the lemon cranberry muffins with the vanilla cupcake recipe because I didn't have applesauce (which it calls for in the lemon cupcake recipe) but I did have yogurt.
Educative and delicious hub,am really famished.
deeeeeeeeeeeeliciouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuusssssssssssss
I just made the vanilla cupcakes. They are good-though DEFINITELY more like a MUFFIN than the typical cupcake. Not as much light and over sweetly fluffy, but a little more dense and less sweet. I kind of wish I had added blueberries before I made them because this would be the PERFECT blueberry muffin recipe.
definitely going to try these, i love sweets, thats why diets are so hard!
Dont Complain Cocoa Powder Can Be Fat Free =]
The chocolate cupcakes are not fat free - cocoa powder has fat.
I will definitely try these recipes. Sounds great !

I made these today but i am allergic to wheat so i used wheat free flour ! I dont usually like cakes but i mad them anyway they stuck to the paper cases and were a bit spongy and i used greek yogurt instead of plain yogurt ! I made icing with margarine but was too buttery but they were ok and the kids like them so yeah lol :)
Sounds awesome!
Hi Maddie,
These recipes sound great. I'm especially interested in trying the red velvet one. Thanks for sharing.
I'm going to make cupcakes for Easter..but I'm worried to make lowfat ones because they don't always come out the best... can someone tell me how good these are and if I should just stick to the fattening recipes??
wow those chocolate cupcakes look AMAZING!!! thanks for sharing!
I made the Chocolate cupcakes. They were great!! My kids and husband loved them too. With no icing they are 2 pts on Weight Watchers. I also used whole wheat flour to make them even healthier!!! Yummy!!!
well... it might be helpful if you did say how much fat was in them... like 19% or something
Great recipe there ...
I am to old to try fat free .. So ill stick to fat full and exercise later strategy....
I made the lemon ones, except I used fat free yogurt instead of sour cream, and they were so good!

It looks delicious! I can't make such good recipes. I can only eat them.
sounds good
cool perfect timing my aunts b- day is on saturday
wow i love cakes and this is low fat, even better
I'm going to try this out. Sounds divine.
I just tried the Chocolate Cupcake recipe today. They are pretty good, but they were a little spongey, and they stuck to the cupcake paper. If it wasn't for that they'd be perfect. I paired them with sugar free chocolate icing made with Dream Whip, milk, vanilla, and chocolate pudding mix. Yum.
Awesome - perfect timing.
I will try these and if they taste good will probably eat them all.
What I like most about your hub is that low fat and chocolate together. :)
I am getting really hunry just looking at these cupcakes...nice job.
